AHRA Sweepstakes Rules 1.) Individuals must be members of the American Himalayan Rabbit Association in good standing in order to participate. 2.) Youth members may compete in both Open and Youth sanctioned shows. Youth points are kept seperate from Open. 3.)The top ten winners in both the Open and the Youth Sweepstakes will receive awards each year. 4.) To count in our sweepstakes program, a show must be sanctioned by the AHRA and an official report received from the club sponsoring the show. 5.) The sweepstakes year will begin July 1st and end with June 30th. 6.) All Sweepstakes Points earned at the ARBA Convention Show and the National Himalayan Show will be doubled. 7.) Points are kept in individual and/or family names. It is important to enter each show under the same name. No points will be kept in Rabbitry Names. 8.) The AHRA Sweepstakes Recorder will calculate all points from received show reports. This record will be the official AHRA Sweepstake Standings. Standings will be published in "The Himmie News." 9.) Class display points are computed as follows: 6 points times the number shown in the class for 1st place 4 points times the number in the class for second place 3 points times the number in the class for third place 2 points times the number in the class for fourth place 1 point times the number in the class for fifth place. No points earned for places lower than fifth. 10.) Bonus points shall be earned as follows: Best Of Breed: 2 times the number shown in the breed; Best Opposite Sex of Breed: 1 times the number shown in the breed; Best Senior: 1 times the number of seniors shown; Best Junior: 1 times the number of juniors shown. There must be at least 5 Himalayans shown for BOB and BOS points to be awarded; there must be at least 5 Seniors for Best Senior points to be awarded; and there must be at least 5 Juniors for Best Junior points to be awarded. 11.) A Best 4 Class or Best Reserve win shall be awarded 100 points and Best In Show Win shall be awarded 150 points, with only the higher of the two wins to qualify at a single show. 12.) AHRA Members receive 25 points for each show in which they exhibit Himalayans. |
